From Beirut to Damascus and back to London (for the moment at least) to find a bombardment of a different kind -- a salvo of kicks from a little boy that feels like he wants to come into the world three months early.

Maybe he's trying to express his displeasure at not being the man of the house any more.

Welcome back to a different type of insanity. Assured we all held our collective family breath while you were out there. Pleased you made it back in one piece. So when is the visit westwards??? Hopefully, Little Hughes will become a frequent flyer very soon after he is born!
Here's a thought for you, why not have a section on your blog for readers (connectors, blogees - don't know what the right term is) to offer names for Buddy!
Since I couldn't persuade Cath to use it, my offering is Xerxes - Xerxes Hughes has a ring to it don't you think?
