Clearly, sympathies go with both men and their families....BUT. This has the outward appearance of a typical American style Over the Top ratings booster. Why would a news anchor need to report from an embedded position inside Iraq?
His artificially enhanced white smile and sunbed perfect tan would attract attention like no tank or soldier ever could.
Stay in the comfort and safety of your studios, and link to people far better skilled at reporting this type of news.
Better still, and I'm biased when I say this, withdraw all journalists from areas of danger - I'd rather see them safe and not know.
