HANDS UP IF YOU SAY YOU'RE INNOCENT

My sporting hero Lance Armstrong is once again at the centre of doping allegations in the French press.

L'Equipe claims traces of the blood-boosting drug EPO were found in samples Armstrong gave during the 1999 Tour de France.

The samples were tested in 2004, after cycling's governing body started using a urine test for EPO.

Armstrong has, unsurprisingly, categorically denied the allegations -- and Tour legend Miguel Indurain has leapt to his defence.

As an Armstrong fan, I'm more concerned about the damage to his reputation caused by his cycle rides with President Bush than by the latest media revelations.

I agree with that you that no one gives a flip what the French say! Also remember that W and Lance are both TEXANS first, and partisans second! Lance is, of course, a one issue man - he was lobbying W for more dough for cancer research. No harm done there.

Indurain's comments are completely irrelevant - in defending Armstrong against a "witchhunt", he questioned the validity of retrospective testing. Well, he wouild say that, wouldn't he? After all, if the allegations against Armstrong are correct, then every TdF champ since Big Mig has returned a positive drug test (Armstrong, Pantani, Ullrich, Riis). Can anyone maintain with a straight face that Indurain wasn't doped during his 5 victories?

Why can't they leave Armstrong alone? The Guy has beaten the old record hands down, and instead of thinking of what he had acchieved, they bring allegations against him.

This article in Le Monde prooves that Armstrong has taken drugs which shows that he is a liar.
It's bloody stupid to critize an article that you haven't even read. In addition, he is a jerk for having quited his first wife who had supported him when he was sick. If you really love that guy, you should pray for his soul.
