I understand that the US military authorities are anticipating a criminal investigation following an incident in Fallujah filmed by NBC correspondent and blogger Kevin Sites.

Sites' report appears to show an American marine shooting dead an unarmed and wounded Iraqi in a mosque in Fallujah.

The Iraqi was one of five wounded prisoners left at the mosque after Marines fought their way in on Friday and Saturday.

Pooled TV footage shows a Marine saying "He's fucking faking he's dead. He faking he's fucking dead."

The Marine then apparently raises his rifle and fires into the man's head.

The timing could not be worse for the US military. Amnesty International has just warned that "the rules of war protecting civilians and combatants have been violated in the current fighting in Falluja."

Stuart, in comparison with your site, Kevin's site gave more opportunity for comments. Kevin's site administrators have censored (deleted them) appropriate comments from people regarding this film, including war veterans thoughts on their own experiences in the situation. The anti-American comments remain. I find this inappropriate. If Kevin felt strongly about this Marine's decision, why didn't he step up and give his opinion, he could of easily said "Hold Off, I don't think he is faking, let me check him over". Previously, I enjoyed getting news from Kevin's site until he released this film. I printed off many of the comments and stories of the veterans and family members writing in, so my children could read them. Maybe, Kevin doesn't care what people think including the family members of the 3/1 that wrote to him often and trusted him as a decent reporter. I imagine our Marines are still offering him protection for his journey home. What a "thank you" they get.
